Dr. Meena Sathappan has over 27 years of experience as a board-certified Pediatrician. She manages all aspects of a child’s health from birth to young adulthood. She has a special interest in neonatology, developmental pediatrics and infectious diseases.

She graduated from one of the most prestigious medical schools in India – the Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the world-renowned Columbia University, New York.

Four years after joining a Pediatrics group in Arizona, in June 2000, Dr. Sathappan moved with her husband and children to the San Jose- Evergreen area. She worked as a Staff pool Physician in Kaiser-Santa Teresa and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. In addition, she covered many Pediatrics offices in San Jose.

Dr. Sathappan’s love and passion for medicine, in particular for Pediatrics, started at a very young age. It’s always been her dream to run a practice of her own towards being able to offer personalized care. The word ‘Aasha’ is not only a play on her kids’ names, Aakash and Varsha, but also means ‘hope’ in Hindi, the national language of India !

Dr. Sathappan is very involved in the community. She has also written health-related columns for the Evergreen Times.
